( Soundtrack key : NO LINES TO LEARN, the Skit Trax supply the narration, background music and sound effects.) The story begins as Mary is told about the impending miracle of the Incarnation, goes through the events of finding a place in Bethlehem for the Baby to be born, the shepherds being told by the Angel, the shepherds searching out and find the Baby, the worship of the Infant, and the dedication in the temple. It is related in story-telling terms and not a verbatim reading of scriptures, so there is no debate about which translation of the Bible is used.
The story is told by taking elements from the various Gospels and filling in the whole picture by telling it in a narrative format. This is the script for the embedded “Nativity Play” scenes found in the play “Redemption In The Wings.” You may do it separately if you wish, to have a shorter traditional Christmas story, without having to learn lines.
